Are lab grown diamonds real?

Yes, they are real diamonds.

Lab grown diamonds consist of carbon atoms arranged in the diamond crystal structure. According to GIA - the world's foremost authority on diamonds, coloured stones, and pearls - lab grown diamonds are identical to their natural counterparts as they are made of the same material as natural diamonds, exhibiting the same optical and chemical properties.

What is the difference between a simulant and a lab grown diamond?

Simulants do not have the same chemical and physical properties as diamonds, and merely imitate the appearance of a diamond. The most well-known simulant is cubic zirconia, which is a crystal form of zirconium oxide, and moissanite, which is made of silicon carbide. Simulants do not have the same hardness and longevity as real diamonds which last forever.

You can find simulants in costume jewellery. Be aware of companies that use the term SIMULANTS to take advantage of uneducated customers. On the other hand, lab grown diamonds are REAL DIAMONDS.

Are lab grown diamonds simulants?

No they are not. Simulants are not diamonds. Be wary of websites such us “DiamondNexus.com” those types of websites sell “diamond simulants” which use very clever writing to mislead customers. They are not real diamonds.

What is the history of lab grown diamonds?

Lab created diamonds started in the 1950’s by General Electric, however they were only being used for industrial purposes due to the low quality in colour and clarity. Over the past few decades scientists and laboratories around the world started improving the methods. But only until just a few years ago they were able to start producing gem quality diamonds, which are now starting to become available to the market.

What happens when a diamond tester is used in a lab grown diamond?

The diamond tester will positively identify it as a diamond. They both have the exact same composition.

I can't find the diamond I want. Can you source it for me?

Yes, we can! Contact us with the specifications and we can find it for you. Generally, we can give you an estimate value straight away. To find it can take from a couple of hours to a couple of days for certain stones.

Do you sell pink, blue, and yellow diamonds?

Can I buy a loose diamond?

You can easily choose your loose diamond. All you need to do is go to engagement rings and start with a diamond. To select your diamond use our search tool. To make it easy and simple we offer a few basic variables, but the most important are carat, colour, clarity, and cut.

The results below show the diamonds that match your chosen filters. If you choose a diamond available in the showroom, it will be shipped on the next business day. All other diamonds may take from 5 to 15 days to be shipped. Click on Detail and choose Add Loose Diamond To Cart. Check your Order Summary and click Checkout. Fill out your details, pay, and voila!

Duty Free Process?

When you purchase from Novita Diamonds, you will pay a total amount that excludes the Goods and Services Tax (GST). To streamline your shopping experience, there is a nominal $400 collection point fee. This fee covers the handling and transfer of your selected items to our designated collection point at Auckland Airport (AKL).

We recommend proceeding with Duty Free arrangements only when the cumulative Goods and Services Tax (GST) within your order surpasses the threshold of $400. Doing so will optimize the overall advantages associated with this process. Why do our diamond prices go up and down?

Novita Diamonds has a wholesale model pricing, with very small margins. Therefore our diamonds vary with the price of the US dollar, be wary of companies whose prices do not vary with the dollar this means they have large mark ups.

Can I pay by bank transfer?

Yes, you can! Simply follow the checkout steps till the last part where we offer all the available payment methods. You will be able to choose to pay by bank transfer at the payment section.

Are Novita Diamonds truly conflict free?

Yes they are! As opposed to mined diamonds, only lab grown diamonds can be guaranteed to be 100% conflict free. It is extremely difficult to know the origin of a mined diamond, especially when it goes through many sets of hands after leaving the mine.

Are lab grown diamonds ethical?

YES, and they are the only diamonds that are genuinely ethical. Do not fall into the misinformation trap set by sellers of mined diamonds. They will falsely claim that the mined diamonds they are selling are ethical. ONLY lab diamonds are truly ethical.

Are lab grown diamonds eco-friendly?

YES, and they are the only diamonds that qualify as eco-friendly. Do not be swayed by the marketing hype from sellers of mined diamonds arguing that their products are eco-friendly. On the contrary, it is impossible to mine a diamond without destroying the environment, ecosystems and human settlements around it.

Are lab grown diamonds conflict free?

YES, and it is essential to be aware that ONLY lab diamonds can truly ever be 100% conflict free. No diamond that is mined can ever be certified as fully conflict free with any degree of certainty due to the impossibility of tracking a mined diamond to its source mine. Are mine diamonds ethical?

NO, they are not. And be very wary of claims otherwise that sellers of mine diamonds heavily advertise. Their marketing is simply false and biased to sway into buying their products.

Are mined diamonds eco-friendly?

NO, they are not since a mined diamond being eco-friendly is an impossibility. The term mining itself already explicitly denotes environmental and land destruction in order to extract something from the ground. This process is always, without exception, destructive and has cascading adverse environmental and ecological effects.

Are mine diamonds conflict free?

Unfortunately, there is no way to tell 100% if they are or not. It is impossible to really know were a diamond was originally found, unless you go and dig it up from the ground yourself. Instead, you are expected to take their word for it, which has been the very same reason why blood diamonds keep on flowing to the general market.
